Mr. S.A. Akanbi is a lecturer in the Department of Business Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. He obtained his LL.B degree from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria, and his B.L Certificate from the Nigerian Law School. He is also a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

His teaching and research interests are principally within the fields of Company and Corporate Law, Corporate Insolvency and Restructuring, Commercial Law, Banking and Financial Law, Technology Law, Electronic Commerce, Consumer Protection, and the regulation of emerging technologies. His research particularly explores contemporary issues concerning corporate rescue and insolvency, digital lending and consumer protection, electronic commerce, financial regulation, and the interaction between law, technology, and modern commercial transactions.

He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and is actively involved in legal research, teaching, and legal practice.
